Artist's Description
The Milwaukee Art Museum on the foreshore of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is dominated by the spectacular wing-like brise soleil, with a wing span of 217 feet, and was created by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Here we are looking up at the wings from the main entryway to the museum.
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
