A bee is perched on the vibrant orange flowers of Butterfly Weed (asclepias tuberosa). Butterfly weed (asclepias tuberosa) is a perennial native to eastern North America and is part of the milkweed family. It is an important as a food source for endangered monarch butterflies The background is a blurred green, creating a natural contrast to the bright flora and the insect's activity.
