About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico. Now I find the beauty around where I live in Madison. If you live in the Madison area, contact me, and I can print images for you (save on postage).

thanks. I have a few zoo photos that I use, and I make sure you can't really see the zoo (except for my photo of the koala bear)

Steve, Fantastic wildlife photo love the eyes captured in this photo and how with the background and his immediate surrounding areas you do not feel like this is a zoo shot. I tried to avoid all gates, fences and bars when shooting zoo animals to give it that natural habitat feeling and you have done that here. Excellent details in the Tasmanian Devil and great foreground and background images. Great photo, fav, voted, google and tweet promoted and selected as my Pay It Forward in the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group
