Artist's Description
North Ave, on the east side of Milwaukee, between downtown and the campus of the University of Wiscosnin, Milwaukee (UWM). The road crosses the Milwaukee River (middle of photo). Cambridge Commons, one of the dorms for UWM, is on the far side of the river (left side of the road, just in front of the Macdonalds sign). Riverview, another dorm, is on the near side of the river (in front of Cambridge Commons). This photo was taken from KIlbourn Reservoir Park.
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
