The 35 foot balsam fir christmas tree in the Rotunda of the Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin. The decorations of the tree are made by school children from throughout the state. The christmas tree in the capitol is a tradition dating baking to 1916.
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
