Long Sands Beach, York in southern Maine. This photo was taken Christmas Day, 2015; during an incredibly warm December. Many people are enjoying the glorious weather on the beach. Reminds me of my christmases at the beach in Australia, except the water is a lot colder.
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
